Our adorable precocious child will be 5 years old soon. That means he should be starting kindergarten soon. His birthday is very close to the cut off date for kindergarten entry. He’s very intelligent (I might be biased) but we don’t think he’s emotionally & socially ready to attend school with 20+ kids. So we will … More People will think we’re crazy.
Yeah…no…not gonna lie….I’ve missed three days and it’s only the 7th, so I really don’t think this is going to happen. Maybe next year? I just don’t have that many places I need to go. I hate the idea of having to go peddle around just because it’s May and I’m supposed to bike every … More The end of bike every day in May.
I didn’t bike today. We went to a local bicycle show that ended being a massive disappointment. Then we came home and I took a nap.
Weekly shopping trip to the neighborhood store. Tracking app only caught the ride back, but that’s ok 🙂 Only a mile, but it’s a mile that an awful lot of people would’ve driven a car. Slower than average speed, but hey…you’d be slow too if you were hauling 50 or so pounds of groceries on … More Day 5: Ride every day in May

Just a quick run to the store for strawberries, an onion, and an avocado. I probably could have gone a bit further but I didn’t have it in me this morning. I got woken up at 2 am because our kid had a bad dream. Spent most of the time between 2am and 6am with … More Day 2: Bike every day in May
Happy Bike Month!!! I’ve accepted a challenge that will mean riding my bicycle at least once a day for the whole month of May. The challenge is not so much getting out and riding, though with a 40+ pound child on the back of the bike it’s not exactly easy. For me the challenging bit … More Day 1: Bike every day in May
I had some problems with a local bike shop. To make a long story short, they had my bike for 3 weeks for a “less than a week” estimated service (that ultimately they never completed). This meant I was more or less without transportation for three weeks. I borrowed my spouses car for one of … More Why don’t you just get a car?
I decided to have two resolutions for 2018. The first is that I would like to learn (re-learn) how to crochet. I did a small amount of crochet when I was a youngster, but never was very good. Anything I made was always really wonky. (I was a beginner and a child, of course it’s … More Resolutions.
